Here is a list of some simple guidelines to help your email campaign become effective.

/ Focus on your audience, work out from your contacts what you can offer them that is of interest to them.
/ What will you send? Will it be a regular newsletter, if so how often, is it monthly, bi-monthly, or perhaps it could be seasonally?
/ From your database, collect and update your contacts, if necessary put them in folders for different client types or sectors. Always keep a back up of these files somewhere safe.

/ Use simple direct pointers, don’t’ waste lengthy sentences, get to the point.
/ Add links to other pages of your website if the information is in more detail.
/ Simplicity is the key, simple words, clear not flowery
/ List the benefits to the customer.
