How to promote your website on a budget
Do you have a limited budget, and you need to promote your web site? Then
we may have some tips for you!
1/ Write articles, just like this one with details about your
service or product.
2/ Make regular changes to your site, add interest so customers
will want to revisit.
3/ Add a contact name, telephone and url with a short concise
description on what you do, don't overwrite this. Make it easy for prospective
customers to contact you. For example your signature might look like this....
'John Smith is marketing manager of JohnSmithmarketing.co.uk, a Yorkshire marketing
company that helps businesses expand and grow. Subscribe to the marketing newsletters
at http://www.johnsmithmarketing.co.uk'
4/ find different metatags, unique key words in your page headers,
on each article, these will be helpful in attracting higher hits to your site.
Submit these pages to major search engines.
5/ In a single paragraph write clearly your company description:-
ie who you are, what you do, where you are, and when you do it. This will also
be useful for your sales literature and other marketing material.
6/ The description and unique writing needs to be specific, keep
practising until you have perfected the writing. For example you would be wrong
in saying 'John Smith Marketing is dedicated to providing the best service for
customer care' this is because if you changed the name to 'Microsoft' or 'Milk
Chocolate Company' the description would not be unique to you or your business.
