Testimonials Promote Business!

A testimonial is worth a thousand words, the satisfied customer who is happy to share the experience, and good service in doing business.

Whenever a customer is happy with your work ask for a written testimonial, this can then be added to your website, or marketing literature.

Add the customers name and business name if they do not mind. This is also a good reciprocal way to help your customer, and free advertising for them too.

Do not make up names and testimonial comments because this will put doubt in the customers decision, plus this practice is also unethical.

If you have a celebrity person who has tried your product or service try and get them to give you a testimonial. The power of a celebrity can make a big difference.

Always consider making testimonials a major part in your business plan, try and include fresh ones regularly.

The power of Testimonials should not be underestimated, they are very powerful and can lead to an increase in business.

Make sure the testimonial is specific like “ ...even though it was on a sunday, within 2 hours of my enquiry the whole problem was rectified, brilliant thanks great work” This is an effective testimonial.

Some testimonials can also overcome objections these can be beneficial, for example “ I have always thought I knew everything there was about boatbuilding but was surprised that this course actually did tell me some things I never actually never knew, therefore I am happy to continue to study to the next level”

The best testimonials are the ones from real life experiences, for example the man who met his future wife by dating through the dating agency, they are happy and satisfied in more ways than one!

People can feel more comfortable if you ask for ‘feedback’ rather than testimonials. Once you have this information you can then use it as a testimonial. This way the customer will give a more realistic genuine written account.
