Tips on Advertising
How to get the most out of your advertising budget!
1/ Do not advertise on a left hand page! The top right hand
position is always the best position, this is a fact!
2/ When advertising in publications wait until the deadline
is coming up and haggle for a good price, often the publisher is keen to sign
off the advertisements and get the magazine published. Prices will be cheaper,
but have your artwork completed and ready to go immediately. If you are in a
hurry and you need help then let us help to design your advert, our prices are
competitive.
3/ When advertising to an audience think about the type of
publications they would read, check with the organisation and see the stats
to see if these types of readers would be interested in your advertisement and
services.
4/ Think outside the box, be different in your approach and
be interesting, but be focused.
5/ To obtain the best return and to achieve a consistent target
to your customers, consider choosing to project your advertising in a variety
of advertising methods, ie, press ads, newsletters, direct mail, email marketing
etc, also check your branding, keep the style similar.
6/ Make a clear concise message, make it short and sharp, with
a clear contact number.
7/ Consider making an offer or incentive for the customer to
reply. Entice the reader to want more, and put a closing date.
8/ Think about the audience! Are they existing or new customers,
and can you appeal to both.
9/ Think about the design, is it well targeted, well designed,
simple and concise. Don't overdo the content and wording.
10/ Think of a catchy headline, strap line, and sell the benefits.
