What are your unique selling points?

Your unique selling points or USP's are the most important aspect that sets your company and services apart from your competitors.

To stand out from the crowd every company needs to have a strong set of USPs. Don't lose out by not looking at your own and using this as a strong marketing hook in your marketing.

If a customer asks you why they should do business with you instead of your competitors what would you say?
Would you come up with a blank answer?

Your USP is the foundation of your marketing activity, this is what you build your company on and what sets you apart from your competitors.

Find out what your competitors are doing, can you do it better if so how, but stay away from price, offer value, customer service or other unique benefits.

Your customers are your best target to find out what they like about you and your services. Remember the customer will see something else that you were probably unaware of. These features could be used as your unique USPs. You will probably end up with a long list or sentences which need to be broken down into pointers that best define your service or business, and which in your opinion gives the best value to your customers.

Analyse your USP
With this list of unique selling points incorporate these into your marketing literature, your website, your business stationery etc, plus your sales aids and day to day work.

Educate your staff to use these key USPs in their day to day practice, during phone calls and when talking to new and potential customers.

You will know when your USPs are really working, when in time your customers will come back because they remember your company when they need that particular service or product.
